Short bio
Boom-bap like it’s 1992.
The Wrong Hole Crew makes hip-hop the way it sounded blasting from a boombox in ’92: dusty breaks,
fat basslines, scratched-in hooks, and rhymes way too confident for their own good. Every track is
a block party that knows exactly how ridiculous it is.
Back story
A studio mistake became the whole plan.
The crew came together during a late-night session that was supposed to produce one clean demo.
A borrowed microphone, a stubborn sampler, and one perfectly timed bad joke changed the plan.
They kept the mistake, built a hook around it, and made a rule: if the beat knocks and the room
laughs, the song stays. Tobias Records gave that rule a home, and “Cougar Mama” became the first
bad decision to leave the studio.
